I, A.M. Custom Color Holo-Daze

This beauty has been sitting in my untried since last Christmas, isn't that terrible? I knew I had to use it this year because there is so much going on in this little bottle!

Clear base with micro glitter, hex, square, heart, triangle, circle, bar, snowflake, bell, bow and star glitters. I may even be missing a few. I thought it would really pop over mint.
This is two coats of the topper over two coats of Barielle Mint Ice Cream Cone. I couldn't even find this polish on the website. I think every time I use this it will be a totally different mani! Would look great over black as well.

Colorado Christmas

Merry Christmas friends, readers and stalkers! It was a rough start to the day with spilled sherbet, burnt cinnamon rolls and a slice up my shoulder courtesy of my razor, but a wonderful day with family, food, snow, presents and pups.
I had the best of intentions to do all kinds of holiday manis. The end result? TWO. Ha well this one I wore until it had all chipped away horribly but it was really cute.
I started with two coats of Revlon Heavenly and then stamped with Color Club Mamba and a Nordic Polish called Star Nails in turquoise with plates MoYou Pro 01 and the holly from Bunny Nails HD-F.
Got a lot of nail goodies for Christmas including Bundle Monster plates and the Lotus Mat. One of my resolutions is to play with polish more in 2016! Hope Santa blessed you all with some fancy finger cheer!

Fall Glitter Gradient ~

Another lazy Sunday in Colorado. This was actually my Thanksgiving mani. I don't believe I've yet to do a glitter gradient since starting this blog.

For a base I used two coats of Sephora by OPI Under My Trench Coat. I then sponged on China Glaze I Herd That, Glitter Goblin and CG in the City.

Lastly I used each one of the glitters and Triangle guides.

Barelle Naturale Essential Eye Shadow Palette

December, where the hell did you come from? Seriously? I received Barielle's Naturale Essential Eye Shadow palette the other day and was pretty excited about these natural, mostly shimmery shades. Being a blue eyed gal, all these colors   really make the eyes pop.

With flash (I know sadly, I'm whiter than Edward Cullen)
Without flash indoors

The palette retails for $14.99 and can be purchased here

Dragon Ass

Dragon ass - draggin' ass = my life. Traveling, work and trying to maintain a fairly clean abode have presented some recent challenges, at least when it comes to my nails. The solution? Pumpkin Cookie Butter, really it fixes everything. Like duct tape for your emotional state.
This is two coats of KBShimmer Urban Camo as a base with three coats of Finger Paints Daubigny's Garden on top. The accent nails were first stamped with China Glaze Mega Bite then with Sinful Snow me White, both from plate MM27.
Very Game of Thrones, don't you think?

Leader of the Tribal

Man, that pesky life, work and everything in between keeps getting in the way of my bloggsomeness. Is that a word? It is now. Blogger + Awesomeness. Anyhoo! Nothing a good holo deliciousness can't fix, right?

This is ILNP Champagne Blush, two coats. I added a neon gradient over white with China Glaze Shello, In the Lime Light and Nina Ultra Pro Solar Flare.

I wasn't sure how this pretty was going to stamp since it didn't look very opaque on the plate but she's a champ! I used plate qa66. And seriously, tomorrow is October? No thanks...

My First Five Below Haul

When I see all these fab Five Below polishes I get a tad salty since we don't have a Five Below in Colorado. I really didn't even know where they are popular around the country? Back in April, I went to visit one of the bestie's and she had a huge surprise because she knows I'm a lacquer loon!
We took a little drive down an Ohio road right into a Five Below where I carefully picked out my polishes. This is two coats of Fresh Paint Passion Fruit topped with one coat of Funky Fingers Saved by the Glitter. A bright little summer combo.
I'm a fan of the Five Below (let's forget about the random binge of sour smurfs and Japanese cookies I ate all while in her passenger seat). Do you have one of these stores in your spot of the U.S?

Orange You Getting in Lime?

Oh mylanta! I'm just the worst. I think at some point many of us get in a rut and just don't feel like doing something creative or digging through the polish pile sounds overwhelming. By the time I get home, change, make dinner, finish work it's pretty much bedtime and I'm dunzo. This sassy citrus mani has been sitting in the folders for a month or so.
I used two coats each of Abon's holos - Saturn, Starburst and Radiant as the base of this. I wanted colors that could represent the different fruits like limes, oranges and grapefruit. I free handed the colors next to one another and then stamped with Sinful Snow Me White from Bundle Monster 308.
A summer-worthy finished product if I do say so myself. Any tips for getting the nail art mojo back?

ILNP Atlantis

Flakies, duochrome - count me in. I didn't know if I wanted to put ILNP's Atlantis over black or something else. I settled on KBShimmer Low and Be Bold, three coats to be exact.

The final result was pretty, but didn't show off the colors as much as I had hoped for. Guess I'll have to keep messing with this beauty.
Do you have a favorite base other than black for your flakies?

Salon Perfect Pa-tri-otic

Total. Slacker. I know I really need to get it together. I've just been in a creative and blogging slump lately and my untrieds cry out in abandonment. Between two jobs, the summer sun calling my name and being a single-doggie mama - it's a lot!

I had to do something festive for the 4th of July and picked between a few of Salon Perfect's special top coats. I went with Pa-trio-otic. Red, white and blue triangles suspended in a clear base. First, two coats of Icing True Blue so all three colors would stand out.
Then one coat of strategically places triangles. For the accent nail, two coats of Cover Girl Snow Storm stamped with BBF 01 and China Glaze Hey Sailor and Sally Hansen Blue Me Away. Hope you all had a happy and healthy holiday!
