So many of you have made such fantastic use of Michael's designed crafting scissors for manis, I asked for a few pairs for Christmas. My bro loaded me up with about 12 so it was hard choosing which design I wanted to play with first. I settled on the ruffle looking one.
I've also seen most people use scotch tape but mine wasn't playing nice so I reached for the blue painters tape which seemed to be forgiving to the scissors. I alternated base colors on fingers with two coats of OPI Mermaid's Tears and NOPI Love Song.
Most of the lines came out clean, problem is, I have such small nails that there wasn't a lot of room for much of the design so that could be interesting with other shapes. I put the cherry, er flakes on top with one coat of OPI Pure 18k. I didn't own any gold or silver leave topcoats and decided this was the to sit with my other pretties.
Have you used crafting scissors with tape for manis? How has it turned out?
