Christmas Lights

Merry Christmas polish fanatics! Here's hoping your stockings were full of plates, polishes and rhinestones. I think for once, I didn't get one polish thing! I'm sure it's because most of our friends and family members are intimidated to buy us anything polish-related for fear that we already have it.

A few months ago I picked up Cuttin' Edge nails polish in White Rose. It's a sheer white full of scattered micro holo glitter.
This is three coats of White Rose stamped with Bunny Nails and the LeadLight technique and accent nail stamped with Color Club Mamba.
I hope you were able to to share the day with loved ones celebrate the birth of lil' baby Jesus :).

Skating on Thin Ice

I knew that Barielle's Rain in Spain would be a holiday-rrific choice for a mani base this season. We've had some wonderfully warm weather for December in Colorado which I am all for. Of course seeing some snowflakes isn't bad this time of year, I can manage, bit I have that unbeatable sunshine to show off this holo!

Two coats of Rain in Span as a base. I then stamped the icicles with Color Club Eternal Beauty and Messy Mansion 27. Accent nails polka dots were with Color Club Miss Bliss and the Ice Skates from Bunny Nails HD-F and Snow Me White.
It's been since Junior High that I was on ice skates, how about you?

What's Christmas w/o Argyle?

There is just not enough time in December to do all the festive manicures I'd like for the holidays. Between snowflakes, santas and other fun ideas, I have to hurry and bust out as many as possible. To kick-off the holidays I needed some sparkle and argyle.

The red is two coats of Ulta Bombeshell, an awesome red jelly with scattered holo, although it is gritty when dry. I stamped with Sinful Snow Me White and the candy canes from Bunny Nails HD-F.
For my "sweater" nails I started with a base coat of Sinful Summer Song so the glitter would come off easier. I picked up Milani Sugar Coated. Not one I had seen before. It has a lot of hex and bar green glitter with a scattered holo.
Lastly, I stamped with Coloc Club Mamba from Sugar Bubbles 021.

Venique Nail Lacquer ~ Swatches and Review

I had not heard of Venique before receiving a press release. When I saw the holiday samples I was excited to see swatches of the foil and the glitters.

Holiday 2014
TIS THE SEASON to sparkle, shimmer and shine with Venique’s collection of shimmers and glitters; perfect for any celebration! Celebrate the holiday season with rich couture shimmers of fuchsia, glitters of gold and rose gold, silver sand texture, and festive multi-colored glitter.

You Kiss 1 Mall Santa. You've Kissed Them All

Selfies with Santa

#HOLIDAYS

Being the glitter fan I am, all of these polishes really struck my fancy. You Kiss and Holidays are both two coats with no base or topcoat. You Kiss is a beautiful fuchsia with a silver foil base. It went on smoothly and was a nice formula. I added one coat of Selfies with Santa on top of You Kiss. Awesome glitter bomb!

#HOLIDAYS is a silver scattered holo polish. It dried a bit gritty but nothing a good topcoat couldn't even out.

The polishes range from $7.95 to $8. All great polishes for a festive 2014 winter season.

Dance Legend Robots vs. Humans

What a wonderfully perfect polish for Thanksgiving! This milk chocolate linear holo is something that totally puts me into a trance. Even out of sunlight, the lines dance in the bottle and on my nail. I don't own many Dance Legend polishes.

Is it me or do they stink to holy high heaven? Honestly, I don't care. Their mix of colors and finishes makes me a happy camper, if I loved camping that is.

This is two cats with a topcoat. Accent nails are two coats of Sally Hansen Teeny Bikini then stamped with Robots vs. Humans and Bundle Monster 410. For some reason I thought the image channeled turkey feathers. Hope you had a great day and evening with family, friends and loved ones.

Lavish Polish Peach Please

Aren't thermal polishes the best thing ever? Especially now that Indie creators are adding glitters and shimmer and flakies. I picked up a Lavish Polish colors and threw in Peach Please! because of the great thermal and golden flakies.

This is three coats. When warm, this jelly is a warm pinkish that goes great with my skintone. When cold, it's a bright tangerine color. Those gold flakes really are pretty no matter what temperature my fingers are at.

This is three coats of Peach Please with two coats of China Glaze Champagne Kisses.

Barielle Jetsetter Collection Swatches

I recently received Barielle's Jetsetter collection. This is their fall/winter release. I can definitely see using a lot of these colors in my holiday manis and nail art.

Kiss Me Kate is a creamy beige/pink - not quite mannequin hands but a nice nude

Rain in Spain - creamy light periwinkle

Gondola Ride - a creamy sage green

Irish Eyes - While this and Gondola Ride look similar, they have enough of a difference than I was able to capture in my photos. This is a a creamy moss green.

Autumn in Seoul - a deep copper shimmer - very pretty and a nice fall hue

Midnight in Paris - creamy midnight blurple

All swatches are two coats and I didn't use a basecoat or topcoat for any of these. Each 5 free polish retails for $8 a piece and can be purchased here.

There was some staining with the darker colors so be sure to use a BC. Overall the creams were smooth and opaque. I think they would be awesome for stamping. For some reason I am just loving Rain in Spain the most. Which color are you being drawn to?
