Jindie Nails Moon Walk

I can't remember where I saw the first swatches of Jindie Nails new special edition polishes but it made me go right to her store and pre-order ( I learned it was a pre-order because I was so pumped I kept wondering where they were in the mail. When I emailed, she let me know she was creating as we spoke and they would be mailed soon).
This is two coats of Moon Walk. I think all of us are a little obsessed with those humongous round glitters right about now and to see  those in various sizes along with stars and moons suspended in a neon pink jelly base I was mesmerized.
I did have to shimmy and shake the bottle a lot to get the glitters, but to be fair it was a super mini size bottle. I love all the glitter in the jelly and the color itself. I wore this well over a week. I was impressed with how long the glitters stayed on. Of course there are always a few casualties when one corner starts peeking through the polish.
To go with the space theme on my accent finger I used one coat of China Glaze Lemon Fizz stamped with Sinful Sugar N Spice from Salon Express 22 and then stamped with Sinful Black on Black from Salon Express plate 21.
Overall this is an awesome polish I was glad to add to my ever-growing collection. Full size and mini size bottles can be purchased here.

Essie Navigate Her vs. Song of Summer

I picked up Sinful Song of Summer and thought it was possibly a dupe for Essie Navigate Her. When I put them side-by-side I still wasn't sure. I used two coats with no topcoat. Navigate her is a tad darker and more opaque.

Navigate her appears to have a more brown base compared to Song of Summer.
 They aren't dupes!

Clinging to Neon

As the sun sets earlier and earlier I am coming to the harsh reality that the days of summer are no longer on my side. School is back in session and I can see the slight singe of disappearing green on the trees. As each leaf gets darker, I lose a small piece of my soul. Truly, I hate cold and winter. It seriously messes with my psyche. True we have gorgeous Septembers and Octobers, but as the days grow shorter - I get grumpier.

This my lady nail loving friends is why I must do as many neon manicures as possible!  I started with one coat of course with Sinful Snow me White.  I then free handed stripes with Icing What Planet Are You On and So Fierce. Each a jelly neon with large hex glitters.
After that, I stamped with Snow me White and Bundle Monster 322 full nail circle image. For my accent fingers. I used two coats of Orly Plum - a great french mani base. I then free-handed smile lines with Snow me White and sponged on the same Icing colors. This certainly brightened my day. How long will you carry neons into fall?

Essie Acrewed Interest vs. Sinful Skylark

I don't think I've ever met a peach polish that wasn't my new BFF. Once I spotted Sinful Skylark I didn't deny that it was probably coming home with me. I realized it seemed very similar to Essie Acrewed Interest but I cared not!
Once splashing the two side-by-side on the tips, It was apparent there are no dupes here peopletttes! Acrewed Interest is much sheerer and not as saturated. Skylark could possibly be a one coater and leans more orange.

To my delight of course I have two totally different hued peachy polishes. I used two coats of each polish without a topcoat.

300th Post ~ Fingrs Edge Nail Tattoo Transfer Paper ~ Review & Giveaway

Thankfully I live in a large town that plays home to at least 5 Wal-Marts. When I saw the new Hard Candy release I peed a little because I was mesmerized over the cream glitters. I started my polish stalking and went to a new Wal-Mart I hadn't been to in town before. JACKPOT ~ this was freakin' nail polish heaven. The store had rows and rows of different brands including a few things I haven't seen before. This included Fingrs Edge nail tattoos transfer paper.
The set included three different designs including newspaper, multi-color chevron and road maps. I grabbed these faster than Yogi Bear could ever have snatched a picnic basket. They weren't terribly expensive at I believe $6.99.
The set comes with 30 sheets, 10 of each design as well as two mini polishes. The sheets were so large, and I have midget hands, so I cut them in half and they worked great which means I have enough for a second mani with each design. I used two coats of the Fingrs cream polish. These are basically like full nail water decals and come off easy and fast. My right hand was a little less smooth than the left hand but I got better at it.
However, I'm impatient and did botched my pinkie and thumb slightly. This is still a very cute design and I'm hoping for ever better results the next go round. My accent finger is two coats of Sinful Colors Innocent with two coats of China Glaze Make a Spectacle.
Overall this is a great buy for the price and the fact that you get at least three full manis if not more. I bought an extra one to giveaway - enter below!

This was purchased with my own money and was in no way associated with Fing'rs Edge products.

Zoya Zuza Zebra

Say that title 10 times fast! Little miss Zuza has been sitting on the shelf for a bit. I thought it would be appropriate for a later summer mani. I started with a bc and two coats of Zuza. It was quite as bright as I had anticipated from other swatches, but still a great color.

I picked up some feathers from Hobby Lobby awhile back - they were pastel colored feathers with zebra print. I couldn't walk away. I haven't tried real feather nails and thought this would be a nice accent to the color. I started with one thick coat of Essence Hang Loose and dropped the feather on. Since it was large and dense, it started to slide off my nail and I had to press down until it dried.
I then used manicure scissors to cut the excess off and used countless layers of a topcoat. Some of the edges wouldn't stay and some fur started to peek through after the first night. I'd love to try this technique again soon but with much lighter feathers. Do you like this technique or prefer decals/stamps?
