Strawberry Shimmer on Hot Nails

Silver buckle hanging off her hips. If this sounds like gibberish to you - then you don't listen to country =D. As soon as I heard "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line for the first time I was hooked. These two are amazing and even more ridiculous live. Their songs are topping the charts including "Shine On". Just thought I'd clear up the title reference. Now to tha nails! This is my fave mani of the summer bar none.

I started with two coats of NOPI Kim-pletely in Love (awesome sheer pink with opalescent shimmer). I free-handed the cloud-like design with China Glaze Ahoy followed by China Glaze Running in Circles. The middle finger is two coats of Ahoy (yum!). I then stamped my accent nails with Color Club All That Razz and plate m55. I then used Born Pretty Store dotting tools to add the dots with the ChG colors.
Lastly I added a pink bow from Kiss (new nail goodies found in Walgreens) on my middle finger. This little guy made it through three days and a softball practice.

When Life Hands You Lemons ~ Do Some Summer Nailart

I think the exact moment I read the goods on Salon Perfect's new limited edition summer "floam" impersonated line - grabbed my keys and peeled rubber to my nearest Wally World. I believe the press release said six shades but I picked up four. The first one out of the gate is Jolt.
This is a mostly neon matte yellow glitter base smattered with neon orange matte glitter. I started with two coats of China Glaze Lemon Fizz. Let dry, then used Orly french tip guides to create half-moon manis.

Lastly, I used a Sinful striped to create the half lemons. Even with topcoat this matte glitter is pretty rough, it's very apparent as I run my finger along a smooth base then the accented part of the nail. I'm definitely wondering how not awesome this will be to remove...worth it! Did you pick these little temptations up?

Little Nudey Neon

I had seen a few manis floating around that used a nude base accented with neon colors and I thought it was the most brilliant thing ever! Add some animal print and you have my heart. I started with two coats of ULTA It's Nude to Me (my go to mannequin hands polish). I then stamped the zebra print design from m57 with Color Club Twiggie, Orly Fancy Fuchsia, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away! and China Glaze Orange You Hot?

I free-handed the tips alternating between the same polishes above. I then stamped the accent nail with the same colors from plate m62.
Enjoy your weekend and happy painting!

Tootsie Alert - Cheetah Sparkle Pedi

I'm not sure if all of you find it as big a pain in the ass to give yourself a pedi vs. a mani. I just feel like feet or so much more work! Although, there is always the benefit of being able to use your dominant hand on both feet for a concise look. I hammered down and came up with this fun sparkly cheetah design.
Do you ever think it is extra weird that polish lasts way longer on toes than on hands? They take so much more abuse, yet have massive staying power. I started with one coat of Sinful Beautiful Girl, a sheer bubblegum pink. I added a second coat to my large toe for opacity.

I then added two coats of a no name Dare fuchsia glitter polish. I then stamped the cheetah design from plate m55 on my big toe and used a dotting tool to add some of the fuchsia glitter.

Patriotic Nails for 4th of July

Yay America! What I want to know is who is pushing the fast forward button on life right about now? Tomorrow is a day we celebrate our Freedom and those who fight to keep it. It means bar-b-q's, beer, sun, fun and good times. I think we will be taking in some fireworks - which of course is my favorite! I had to have a patriotic mani to match the occasion. I started with two coats of NOPI Please Red-Cycle, I don't have a lot of reds in my collection, but this one is a beautiful opaque jelly. It could probably work with one thick coat if needed.

I then used two coats of Orly Peaceful Opposition. I don't care how many polishes have square or large round glitter in them ~ NEED! I used two coats which gave a nice white jelly glitter finish. I then stamped the heart/firework image from Bundle Monster plate 317 with China Glaze First Mate and Ruby Pumps.
Fun fact, Pikes Peak is located in Colorado Springs and was the inspiration for Katharine Lee Bates to pen the words to America the Beautiful. It's also the "purple mountain majesty." Have a great day and be safe ~
