Orange You Glad It's Spring

Warm temps mean warm manis! This new Essence was such a great hue I threw it in my cart. Not quite red or orange, but definitely screams the bright colors of the season. This is two coats of Essence Wake Up! Nice formula and could probably be opaque in one thicker coat. Accent finger was three coats of China Glaze Knotty.

It is pretty similar to Classic Camel, yet a bit lighter with a lot of silver shimmer. Finally a great orange floral water decal from Born Pretty Store topped off with an orange rhinestone.

It's Cosmic

This mani is cosmic, my sorta cosmic anyway. Once I saw the first swatch of Icing Written in the Stars with silver star glitters I knew she belonged to me. This is one coat of Zoya Ibiza, a dark navy blue cream that was opaque in just one coat. I then stamped the tiny star images then added the constellation images from fauxnad plate m34 with special white polish. I wanted it to look like a starry night so over the stamping I added one coat of CND silver Silver Sparkling (great effect!).

For my index finger and thumb, I wasn't sure how many coats of this light blue jelly it would take to look legit so I used one coat of Ibiza with one thick coat of Written in the Stars on top.

The star glitters, unlike some others, laid nice and flat against the nail even before a topcoat. I wore this for a few days with no problems at all.

Hoppy Late Easter ~

We had a fantastic Easter weekend, the weather was warm (it often is a snow-covered holiday here in the Colorado Rockies) we had a delicious brunch thanks mostly to Pinterest and I had a themed mani to go with. This was my second splatter mani and I thought pastels were in order for such an occassion. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri In a Flash. It is a pale cream shimmer. Once dry I cut regular sipping straws into three sections then splattered with Avon Aqua Fantasy, a turquoise cream. Then added a metallic no name Love & Beauty pink and completed the look with Zoya Marley - a pale purple cream.

For my accent finger I used two coats of Essie Navigate Her and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Snappy Sprinkle vertical glitters in pink and green. Hope you all had a nice holiday! Are some pics of my little bunnies (only one would wear the ears) ~

Belated Luck O' the Irish

I don't even think I can use the word late for this St. Patrick's Day mani. Still I'm Irish and fully Irish by marriage, can't let March 17th go on without mani Ode to that Green land full of Guinness and awesome accents. Green was two coats of Orly Lucky Duck sponged with Icing's green and silver hex glitter named Happy Go Lucky. My accent finger was a sponged rainbow with China Glaze Hey Sailor, Zoya Lianne, Ulta Banana Rum in the Sun and Essence Underwater.

I layered two thick coats of Milani Jewel FX in Gold for the pot of treasure at the end of this one. You can't say I'm not festive =D.
