Pinspiration ~ Ombré French

By now I think we can agree that Pinterest is a wonderful time suck and amazing spot for all kinds of ideas and inspiration. I heart going to my mani board for new ideas, including this one! What a simple, but beautiful new take on the French mani! I traced it back to the creator and it seems to be a gel Japanese mani.

I started with two coats of China Glaze Sunset Sail. A peach nude with a hint of silver shimmer. I then mixed Sunset Sail and Sinful Snow Me White for the gradient with a makeup sponge, doing to rounds of sponging on each nail. I always need a hint of glitz so tried to stamp the animal print French image from plate with the holo hunkyness of China Glaze I'm Not Lion. It wasn't dense enough to pick up the full image but added the tiniest particles of holo on the tips which I'm good with too!

It's already November? The year is almost over? Eeeek! For this reason, I've decided to do a giveaway. Vampy Poo

I've finally turned to the darkside, it is November and probably time to start using some seasonal colors. I don't think I've touched China Glaze's Fall 2011 Metro collection at all. This is two coats of Lofty Ambitions, a maroon polish with silver microshimmer. I then added one thick coat of Essie As Gold as it Gets. I wanted some wonderful layers under a stamp and felt this was a good base.
Then I stamped the shattered square image from m73 with China Glaze Hyper Haute from the Tronica Collection. I could see the holo a bit as it was later at night. Very hard to capture the next day and my photos don't really showcase all that's going on but I still consider this a vampy polish mani that = poo.

Let Them Eat Cake!

While eating cake sounds delicious, donning it on my nails is even more scrumptious! I had been eyeing Lush Lacquer's polishes for quite some time and broke down right after my birthday in June to purchase a few. What better polish to celebrate adding another year to my life than Birthday Cake? While this seems like a Spring must-have, I couldn't ignore her any longer.

This is two coats of Birthday Cake with a BC and TC. The base is a cream almost sheer pink jelly packed full of fun in the form of multi-colored hex, medium silver hex and bar glitter. I was going to stamp over but decided there was enough party going on for my taste.

Happy Howl-oween!

Yes I know I am a day late, and usually way more than a dollar short, but wanted to share my Halloween mani and my lil punkins! This is two coats of China Glaze Roguish Red, I thought it was going to be more like Hey Sailor, not really. It is much more burnt orange red. Great coverage in two coats. I wanted to completely cover my accent finger in China Glaze Glitter Goblin - that should be entertaining to remove = /.
It ended up being about four coats for mostly no bald spots. I then sponged on Glitter Goblin to the rest of my nails, one coat covered the beds nicely. An awesome chunky dark orange glitter with huge scattered holo glitter. I then added black cat Kiss stickers form probably 10 years ago to my middle fingers.
Oh yeah, here are my little pumpkins! Did you rock a costume, hand out candy, get wastey pants? We just handed out candy and watched scary movies. Hope everyone had a spooktacular evening!
