Monarchs & Candy Corn

First off, I have to thank the fantastic Deuce Beauties for holding one of her many generous and saliva inducing giveaways! Because of her, I have my midget hands on Rainbow Polish Monarch. As soon as I unwrapped this from the mail I knew it was going to be a Halloween/Fall go to, the colors, the shapes oh my!

I started with two coats of Ulta Banana Rum in the Sun, a fairly thin pastel yellow cream. I then did two coats of Monarch chalked full of micro orange and yellow hex glitter, medium orange, yellow and black hex glitter, large yellow hex and finally the thing that always draws my eye, the black square glitter.
This is something I easily catch myself staring at just because the great variation in color, size and shape. On my accent fingers I painted one coat of  Sinful Snow Me White then sponged with Banana Rum and Zoya Lianne. I then evened it out and added some glitta with CND Silver Sparkling. Wore this for 6 days and finally started picking it off today ~

R.I.P. Spidey

While I don't have the talons I used to, I tend to like my nails shorter these days, I wasn't sure if this concept would fit. I was able to make it work. I started with two coats of China Glaze Love Letters for a subtle base. I waited about 10 mins before using Orly's French tip guides and a quick two coats of Orly R.I.P. as it's a black jelly base before quickly peeling them off.

For the final nail in the coffin I stamped the spideys from plate m27 with Sinful Black is Black. I sealed with a TC and another spooktacular mani for October. For the ring finger I did one thick coat of Black is Black with a full coat of R.I.P.

Do the Monsta Mash

Don't you just love the name of this polish? That alone just makes me like it, but those honkin' hex glitters that boast a beloved holo shine just seals the deal. I knew these would be a biotch to remove so made sure to use some undies. This is one coat of China Glaze Starboard. I then used two thick coats and tried to cover as much as possible with Glittering Goblin.

On my accent finger I used three coats of Pure Ice Mint Dream, an iridescent pearl shimmer that leans a bit green in the bottle, not so much on the nail. I then stamped the skull image from plate m28 using Starboard. I haven't gotten so many compliments on a mani in a long time so I deem this a success!

Halloween Lift-Off

I wanted to do a slew of Halloween manis for October! Thankfully my Halloween polishes arrived on my doorstep from Transdesign the other day. This mani is two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, it's such a nice opaque and creamy off white polish with a gray hue. I then stamped the shredded cheetah image from plate ML S301 with Sinful Black on Black.

Lastly I busted out my trusty dotting tool and added China Glaze Orange You Hot? to Halloweenie this up. I feel badly sometimes leaving so many untrieds when doing nail art, but we all know what we like and what works. Are you rockin' some Halloween manis?

Red-y for a Holo?

I'm ashamed to admit this gorgeous girl has been sitting in my untrieds for almost TWO YEARS! The lovely Cosmetic Cupcake got me this ravishing polish in a swap long, long ago and I finally decided to use the goodness that is Glitter Gal's Not Another Red. This is two coats with a basecoat.

I didn't use a topcoat thus the marks, but I didn't want to ruin that shiny goodness. I then stamped the tips with konad plate m62 and Color Club Worth the Risque. I did have tip wear and the image started rubbing off after a few days but definitely something I was dazed by on a daily basis =D.

Wedding Colors Watermarble

As my previous post stated, my honey and I just celebrated our third wedding anniversary so I thought I would continue the festivities with a watermarble using my wedding colors. They were watermelon hot pink and Tiffany blue. This is one coat of Zoya Kiki, a sheer hot pink polish with pink glass fleck glitter. I then used China Glaze Aquadelic with Kiki .
I've never done the back and forth lined watermarble and it seemed more challenging than my norm watermarble but I like the effect. I'll have to practice this technique a bit more. I also stamped the heart image from Salon Express plate 18 with China Glaze Avalanche on my index and thumb, just look for the swirlies!
