Fave Food ~ Fruitness

I'm lagging behind on Ooh la la Polish's challenge and finally did a fave food mani. I couldn't really narrow it down but I truly am a fruit fanatic! While I tend to salivate over summer fruits like watermelon, strawberries and cherries I'm a fan of almost everything but blueberries. This is two coats of Essie Acrewed Interest (a lemming for a bit now).

Tips are stamped with Sinful Snow me White and plate followed by China Glaze Life Preserver and the citrus image from plate m55. Lastly I did a sweet little fimo orange slice with Diamond topcoat and I'm very pleased to report that sucker has stayed flat to my nail.

Challenge ~ Fave Animal ~ Bunns!

So the third day of Ooh la la Polish's challenge is favorite animal. This one was so hard because I love most animals! At least the cutie ones w/o scales and such. Of course my pups are my world, I've always been intrigued by big cats like leopards and tigers but for this mani I thought I would give an ode to bunnies! I've always had them as pets and even in the wild they are adorable with fluffy little booties and wiggly noses.

While this mani was an uber fail it will have to do as it's the second go round. This is one coat of Essie Camera, a coral pink jelly, with one coat of Icing Rave Royalty, a flakie in a pink clear base, followed by another coat of Camera. I then used China Glaze Electric Pineapple to stamp the bunnies from plate KD12. The color barely showed up - guess I'll just have to get excited about my next mani!

Challenge ~ Fave Polish - Desert Nights

The second part of Ooh la la Polish's challenge is favorite polish. I absolutely have a few but narrowed it down to Revlon Facets of Fuchsia, Orly Fowl Play and Icing Blackout. I haven't used blackout in awhile and can never be sad with holo glitter. This is two coats of Icing Blackout, a black jelly with holo glitter (I don't own a true black holo so this is as close as I get). I then layered Sinful Snow Me White and then Color Club Twiggie to get the color to go on top of black ~ THANK YOU Pretty Digits for the tutorial.

I used the plam tree image from Salon Express plate 18. To kick it up even more I added a coat of Out the Door Northern Lights to really make that holo sparkle. Added a topcoat and tada, a mani I call Desert Nights.

Challenge ~ Fave Color

I decided to embark on Ooh la la polish's my favorite things challenge! First up, favorite color. Ah behold I am a PiNk girl (yes one of THOSE). I don't know if it's something I always liked of if it became an obsession in my late teen early twenty years but it's here to stay. Since I also want to knock out some untrieds I went with two to complete this first challenge.

I started with two coats of China Glaze Naked. A nice little pink jelly with pink and silver shimmer. I then used a fast dry TC and used Orly's french nail guides to help with a ruffian mani. I painted two quick coats of Icing Party Hearty. This is small fuchsia glitter suspended in a clear base. I also painted two coats on my accent fingers. Perfectly pink!

Ditto Design ~ Ru Ru Ruffles

I don't think Chalkboard Nails could have been more brilliant with the ruffle manicure! A great design and tutorial to get this unique look. A simple tool and technique turns this into a one of a kind nail art masterpiece. I've been wanting to reflect the last days of summer with bright colors.

I started with one thick coat of Essence The World's coolest and alternated "ruffle" dot layers with Sally Hansen Xtreme Blew Me Away, Color Club Pucci-licious and Orly Fancy Fuchsia. I will be using this again and again. Have done the ruffle mani yet? What color combos would you like to see?
