Garden of Sparrows

Not sure if any of you have been seeing the coverage on the amount of Colorado fires, but my area is right in the thick of it. Thankfully my home is far enough that we won't have to worry about evacuation but handling PR for Travel in the area is challenging to say the least. I thank all of the men and women out there on the lines fighting this thing and ask that you keep Colorado in your thoughts and pray for rain!!

Once I received my package from Colores de Carol I thought I would use My Boyfriend Scales Walls as a base for this mani. This is two coats, a great formula that covered pretty nicely. I then used plate to stamp various color combinations of the sparrows with China Glaze Hey Sailor and Virtual Violet along with Essence Underwater. I then used Born Pretty water decals on my accent finger and thumb then some small round rhinestones. I am very impressed with their water decals, I just have to practice patience before adding a TC so I don't wipe the image away.

Channeling Coco

As soon as I got my new plate from eBay, I was lusting after the Chanel image and didn't want to squander it on a bad mani. Thankfully this one turned out to be an alltime favorite!! This is two coats of China Glaze Dance Baby stamped with the fishnet image from plate m57 with China Glaze Emotion, a metallic pink. I then sponged OPI Teenage Dream on the tips and stamped my beloved CC with Sinful Snow Me White.

My index fingers were two coats of Dance Baby with two coats of Teenage Dream. This was an epic combo and sparkled non-stop. I'm tempted to do a full mani!

Shredded Flutterbys

When I bought polishes from Lacquistry, I had to include Shredded in my cart. It was black and looked oh so fantastic. I had been brainstorming a bit on how to use her when I decided I'd make it a colorful mani. I grabbed the polishes from my recent Avon haul and went to town. I first did a coat of white to make the colors pop and then free handed these diagonal stripes. First with Avon Blue Escape, then Sweet Mint (which really isn't a mint at all) and finally with two quick coats of Fuchsia Fun.

I then added one thick coat of shredded on top. It was a little thick, but considering the consistency of the shreds, it's understandable. I then stamped the butterflies from plate m78 with Sinful Black on Black. I did keep this on for 4-5 days, but couldn't help picking at the edges of the pieces that stuck up. The roughness took a little getting used to but overall kept up well. I've recently seen a dupe from Icing blogged about, but haven't looked at it in person.

Belated Blog and Real B-Day Mani

It's already been over a week since I posted last! I missed documenting my REAL and BLOG Birthday *tisk, tisk*. Well I had a wonderful real Birthday, we BBQed at the house and poor hubby was getting knocked around by some last minute hail. Lots of goodies were eaten and given to little ole' me including some amazing diamond earrings  from my one and only XOXO. Friday was a little evening party w/adult beverages that I paid for Saturday and Sunday we went to the Renaissance Festival! Between the shows, junk food, crazy people that get paid to insult passerby's and BEER,a great time was had by all. Now this mani also had to celebrate my Bloggie Birthday which was Sunday. Crazy to believe it has been two years. Thanks for all of your support  even though I can't do a ton of giveaways and get to some amazing art as often as the rest of you lovelies!

This was a Whimsical Ombre mani with holo stamping.
Pinkie - I Love My Nails White
Ring Finger - Essence The World's Coolest
Middle Finger - China Glaze Sea Spray
Pointer - China Glaze Secret Peri-Winkle
Thumb - China Glaze First Mate

All had two coats base with two coats of Revlon Whimsical on top them stamped with plate MLS301 and China Glaze Hyper Haute. To add to my birthday happy, Miss Carolina of Colores de Carol fame  informed me I had won her giveaway for the entire OPI Spirderman Collection, which arrived in the mail on my real birthday. Thanks darling, can't get much better than that!

SH Save the Date + Chunky Holo

Hello Sunday! I sear weekends disappear at Mach5 speeds. It's a little overcast today. I had done a mani last week and didn't have much time so I went with something easy. This is one coat of Sally Hansen Save the Dave. A thick, burgundy shimmer that covered nicely in one coat. I then topped it off with one thick coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia. What a great polish! Although, it may have a bit more depth over a vampier color. Do you layer or leave her be? Also my apologies for my cuticle neglect, that micro really isn't forgiving =O
