Pineapple Express

I've been LOVING every one's summer manis. I've seen strawberry nails, watermelons and limeades. I want to try all kinds of summer fruits! Recently Babbling Brooke posted a challenge for fruit inspired manis. Since I don't have the konad or BM fruit plates I had to come up with something else. I love pineapple so decided I could use the fishnet design from plate m57 to create one. The Sally Hansen HD collection in Hue just looks like a juicy pineapple. I used a BC and three coats of Hue.

There was still a VNL but I knew I was stamping over it and it wouldn't matter. This was indirect sunlight. It's a very mild gold/yellow with yellow and silver micro glitter.

I then used Sally Hansen Insta Dry in Mochachino for the stamping. This color is full of brown shimmer but because the lines are so thin from the stamping it's hard to see. I then free handed little leaves with the normal brush from Zoya Ivanka. This is a deep kelly green jelly full of green glitter. I topped it off with one coat of Seche Vite.

I'm not sure if I used too much Mochachino or my stamping skills just stink but the fishnet didn't transfer perfectly. I did a good enough job to get a design photo to submit. Have you done any fruit manis? If not are you planning on doing one before the summer is over?
