First Ever Water Marble

So I came across All Lacquered Up's blog post about an attempt at water marbling. Her results were adorable and immediately made me want to attempt this new technique (even though the post advised any person who values their time to not even go there). After watching what seemed liked hours of tutorials on YouTube - MySimpleLittlePleasures were done wonderfully - I decided to give it a go. The advice I would give anyone wanting to try a water marble is to test the polishes you'd like to use first and see if they react the right way in water.
I used Savvy Ebony Black, Sinful Neon Melon and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Celeb City. The Savvy did not spread out that well and made it fairly difficult for me to accomplish my task.

The middle finger came out the best, but as you can see Celeb City was pretty hard to get off of my finger. I learned to always have lint free pads, I had fuzz everywhere trying to get the excess polish off.

  1. Ok that's pretty darn good for the first try!
UGH I hate when I get lint and fuzz too.

  2. It drives me crazy! Sally's had a good supply of lindt-free ones.

  3. I've never even heard of this! i'm going to have to give this a try one day when i'm bored and have patience. hah.

  4. Kaitlyn - search water marble on YouTube - I watched soo many! When you get it right it;s worth the time.
